Facts about Timers Which Timer is right for your needs?
A: The IR Timer would be cost effective and probably suit your needs 2. I put on district shows (barrel racing) and want things to be simple and well organized. A: The Pegasus Time Machine 3-D (Laser) was designed specifically for this purpose. It offers many features that allow for your shows to run smoothly and effortlessly. It's accuracy is unsurpassed and with the sort and 1, 2, 3, & 4-D features there are no problems to encounter. 3. I have been told that IR Timers can be manipulated with a T.V. Remote control. A: This is true. Standard off the shelf IR transmitters are able to start and stop (manipulate) IR Timers. IR transmitters can include TV remote controls, garage door openers, car alarm remote controls, etc. Although Pegasus has implemented (through design) several safeguards to discourage such activity, all IR timers are susceptible. In most cases, small activities, and local shows will not need be concerned with such details. However, if there are a considerable number of people and a considerable amount of cash and prizes, it may be something you wish to bear in mind. 4. I would like to purchase a display or scoreboard to go with my timer, what should I look for? A: Currently, we do not manufacture a score board. We strongly recommend Rainey timer displays (800-443-4701). They seem to outperform any of the displays that we have tested. There warranty is outstanding, if needed (very rare), and they are extremely visible indoors and outdoors and from almost any angle. If you are planning to buy a timing system and display, please call us to get a special package that may save you some money. What should I look for in a timer? There are many aspects to keep in mind when shopping for a timer. What events will you be timing, what features are available, how accurate are the timers, how do they perform in inclement weather, what is their range, warranty, etc. Our timers were designed specifically for Barrel Racing, however they work well for a great number of other events as well. Our Time Machine 3-D will automatically sort in 1, 2, 3, & 4-D formats at the push of a button. It will also print the results immediately at the push of a button to an ink-jet printer that is supplied with the unit. Our timer will store up to 1000 runs that you can review at any time. We are not aware of any other timers that offer these features. Our laser timers offer 1/1000th of a second accuracy, no other equestrian timer can offer you anything close to that. I would like you to think about something:
